Studies prove that having an opportunity at the beginning or middle of a work day to move, mobilise and stretch the body can increase mental clarity, creativity, focus and productivity for the rest of the day. FAQ's
What different packages are available?
We are happy to discuss your requirements and adapt to fit your needs, but these are the types of things we provide currently: 1) Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly Team Yoga sessions. Please contact us for a quote, starting from £100 a session. 2) One-off Yoga session for a Team Building Day. We can tailor this to what you need on the day, but can range from an hour of Yoga, Breathwork and Meditation up to 2-3 hours including partnerwork, journalling, crafts, massage and sound bath.
Do we need equipment?
We can provide mats, blocks and blankets for up to 20 people. Anyone is welcome to bring their own mats or equipment though.
How much space do we need?
It is great to have a large space so we can have everyone on mats, but understand this is not always possible. We can work around tables and equipment to a certain extent, but please understand that the room will need to be quiet for the yoga session to be effective. We are able to use chairs for those who prefer - Yoga can still be challenging and effective when using a chair as a prop!
What areas do you cover?
I am based just outside of Bedford and am happy to travel up to an hour to your workplace, so we generally cover the Bedford area, across to Milton Keynes, down to Luton and North Hertfordshire, across to Cambridge and up to the A14.
What does Balanceworks Yoga offer that other wellbeing services don't?
Emma is passionate about including everyone who comes along and making yoga work for them. It is important for her to connect with everyone in the room and make sure that the session is inclusive for everyone. At Balanceworks, we believe that everyone can benefit from yoga, regardless of history of illness or injury, body shape, age, gender or experience. We really want to burst the stereotype that it is for slender ladies in lycra that we see on social media! We welcome everyone, have many people who prefer to stay on chairs, people in wheelchairs, people with bad backs/knees/ mobility - but the great thing is that our sessions are helping them improve steadily, building up strength and flexibility to enable them to go about their daily lives with less pain, stress and fatigue. Emma will incorporate a range of movement and mindfulness, energising flows and chance to be still. She also always includes some breathwork to calm the nervous system and rebalance our bodies and minds. Once you discover how great yoga is for your body and mind, you'll never regret it.
